An organization in the Opochetsky district illegally carried out excavation and reclamation work on a water body of the first fishing category – the Izgozhka River. The PAI was informed about this by the Pskov Environmental Interdistrict Prosecutor’s Office.
Contrary to the requirements of the law, the events were organized in the absence of mandatory measures to preserve aquatic biological resources and their habitat, as well as coordination of the planned activities with the North-West Territorial Administration of the Federal Fisheries Agency, which caused damage totaling more than 124 thousand rubles.
The prosecutor made a submission to the director of the organization, which was reviewed and found to be justified.
On the initiative of the specialized prosecutor’s office, the guilty person was brought to administrative responsibility under Parts 1 and 2 of Art. 8.48 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation with the imposition of a fine. After the intervention of the prosecutor’s office, the damage caused to the environment was compensated in full.
