In the Central Federal District over the past year, Tula (+3%), Lipetsk (+2.5%), Kostroma (+1.9%) are leading in terms of total birth rate, TASS reports.
“The total fertility rate at the end of 2023 has remained virtually unchanged, but in the Central Federal District, while in Russia as a whole it decreased by 0.4%, the trend has reversed and it has increased,” said First Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Olga Batalina .
She clarified that this figure in the Central Federal District increased by 0.2%.
According to Batalina, even such a small increase is important, because the situation in the regions is slowly changing.
The First Deputy Minister emphasized that the leaders in the Central Federal District are regions with different budgetary resources, territories and population structures. From this we can conclude that today there is not a single subject in the Russian Federation where it would be impossible to find a solution to refract the situation.
