Igor Morar answered the question of deputies

The main difficulty that Murmansk faces in 2023 is the budget. This is how the mayor of the city, Igor Morar, answered the question during his report to the Council of Deputies.

“Unfortunately, since 2022, we have had a negative trend in agricultural tax revenue. I understand that this is money from our fishermen. I understand that this is due to the current situation, with sanctions pressure, a break in supply chains, and various changes. Speaking in numbers , then for the planned 2023 we received only 818 million. We did not receive 884 million. We planned a little more than 1.5 billion. For Murmansk, this is a significant amount. In 2022, we did not receive more than 1 billion,” said the head of the municipality.

Igor Morar thanked the governor and government of the Murmansk region for supporting the city in this situation.
