Due to the withdrawal of flood waters, work is being carried out on 5 out of 12 wells. Electrical equipment and automatic control stations for water intake have been replaced. Vodokanal specialists cleaned and disinfected clean water reservoirs. Washing of distribution networks will begin today.
– For now we will supply water only from 5 wells, so the pressure in the networks will be lower than usual. Considering that there was no water in the pipelines for more than ten days, an increase in turbidity during its supply is possible,” said Kirill Bereznev, director of production at Rosvodokanal Orenburg.
Restoration work at the water intake will continue until it is fully operational. As the water recedes, the remaining seven wells, which remain completely flooded, will be repaired.
