The case against the ex-general director of the Perm Powder Plant was discontinued due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.

The Novosibirsk court dismissed the criminal case of commercial bribery against the ex-general director of the Perm Powder Plant FKP Oleg Mirgorodsky. The case was connected with the period when he headed the Novosibirsk enterprise Iskra, specializing in the production of explosives. Kommersant-Siberia reports this with reference to its source.

According to the publication, the former top manager of OJSC NMZ Iskra Oleg Mirgorodsky, who was accused of receiving two kickbacks of 750 thousand and 1.5 million rubles from the head of the supplier company Transoleum M Konstantin Eremin, went to court with a petition to terminate criminal prosecution due to the expiration of the statute of limitations. In October 2023, the statute of limitations expired for the first episode imputed to him, and in mid-April 2024, for the second. The court granted Mirgorodsky’s petition and dismissed the case.

Oleg Mirgorodsky is also accused of disclosing state secrets. Allegedly, as the director of the Perm Powder Plant, he showed employees who did not have access to classified information a certain secret document. The case was transferred to the regional court in July last year, but consideration of the merits has not yet begun, since the accused participated in the trial in Novosibirsk.
