TOMSK, April 26 – RIA Tomsk. A section of Lenin Avenue in Tomsk will be closed on May 7 from 20.00 to 23.00 due to the rehearsal of the Victory Parade, the city hall’s telegram channel reported on Friday.

“(On Tuesday) May 7, a dress rehearsal for the Victory Parade will be held on Lenin Avenue. In connection with this, traffic will be temporarily limited on the section of Lenin Avenue from Frunze Avenue to Moskovsky Trakt Street from 20.00 to 23.00,” the message said.

As previously reported, the Victory Parade will traditionally be held in Tomsk on May 9. In 2024, the organized “Immortal Regiment” was canceled for security reasons, but Tomsk residents can independently walk along Lenin Avenue with a portrait of a veteran relative. In addition, this year the fireworks display on May 9 was canceled, since, according to the city leadership, it was inappropriate during the SVO.
