A special fire regime will be introduced on the territory of Ulyanovsk from April 29, which will remain in effect until May 12, the press service of the city administration reports.

At this time, it is prohibited to make fires, carry out fire-hazardous work, burn grass, or visit citizens to forests.

Volunteer firefighters will patrol the territories of horticultural, gardening and dacha non-profit associations, and they will also conduct explanatory work.

On behalf of the head of Ulyanovsk, Alexander Boldakin, water-carrying and earth-moving equipment and primary fire-extinguishing equipment for all municipal enterprises and institutions were prepared.

As of April 25, 88.5 km of mineralized protective strips have been built around settlements in the suburban zone, SNT and other areas that could potentially be threatened by landscape fires. The plan is 107.2 km.
