“Yesterday I walked along the river, but today there is ice,” a local resident notes in the video.
The man decided to simply film the ice drift. But suddenly he notices that the power line support, which was located on a spit between two parts of the settlement, was blown away by ice from the river.
“The support is being demolished,” states resident Chagoyan. – That’s it, the wires came off, we were left without light.
Residents contacted the local administration at 9 a.m., which is when the light went out in their houses.
Repair work is already underway, Amur rescuers reported. The Shimanovsky district administration is deciding on the delivery of a diesel power plant to residents of the left bank of the Chagoyan.
