Source: Yana Kravchenko From April 29 to May 1, the XXIII Russian School Championship in Intellectual Games will be held in Chelyabinsk, at the Malachite Congress Hotel. More than 76 teams will take part in it – about 600 schoolchildren from all over Russia, reports the press service of the main department of youth policy in the region.
Guys from 20 regions of Russia will come to the capital of the Southern Urals to compete in an intellectual tournament and show their erudition and team spirit. The organizing committee has planned a rich game program, which includes three main disciplines. The first core discipline requires participants to answer the facilitator’s questions by thinking and discussing for 60 seconds. In the other two disciplines, winning is influenced not only by the correct answer, but also by how quickly the team answers.
To track the speed of participants’ responses, a special brain system will be used. Players will only have to press a button to signal that they are ready to respond. The authors of the questions are experienced editors and compilers with more than 10 years of gaming experience.
In addition to the sports and gaming part, a cultural program is provided for participants. First of all, these are excursions around the State Historical Museum of the Southern Urals and along the pedestrian part of Kirova Street. Guests will also attend the promenade performance on the tram “Not a Meteorite” and go ice skating in the “Ural Lightning”.
Cups and medals will be prepared for the championship winners. Last year, the Chelyabinsk region was able to take fifth place among 72 teams.
The XXIII Russian School Championship in Intellectual Games is being held with the support of the governor of the Chelyabinsk region. The organizers are the Main Directorate of Youth Policy of the Chelyabinsk Region and the Chelyabinsk regional youth public organization “League of Intellectual Games”.
