Changeable weather is expected during the May holidays in the Saratov region – Versiya-Saratov news agency

During the May holidays in the Saratov region the weather will be uneven. The forecast for the long weekend for the Versiya-Saratov news agency was given by the deputy head of the Saratov hydrometeorological center Dmitry Mytarev.

According to him, from April 27 to May 1, dry, warm days will alternate with days with precipitation. This is due to the advancement of atmospheric fronts.

“The temperature background on April 27–29 is expected to be elevated: at night +12…+17, during the day +24…+29 degrees. (in Saratov at night +12…+14, during the day +25…+27 degrees). South wind 3-8 meters per second, with gusts in the daytime up to 12-16 meters per second. Mostly rainless on Saturday and Sunday.

On April 29 and 30, due to the influence of an atmospheric cold front, heavy rains of varying intensity and locally thunderstorms, accompanied by squally winds, are expected in places across the region. On April 30, after the passage of the atmospheric front, the wind will change direction to the north, a relatively cool air mass will arrive, and the air temperature will drop. On April 30 and on subsequent days, the air temperature at night will be +2…+7 degrees, during the day +14…+19 degrees. (in Saratov at night +4…+6, during the day +16…+18 degrees).

During the day on May 1, at night and in the morning of May 2 – anticyclonic weather. In the afternoon of May 2, precipitation associated with the atmospheric front is again expected, after the passage of which another cold snap is predicted; frosts are likely at night and in the morning hours of May 3, 4, 5. During the day, the air will warm up to +15…+20 degrees under partly cloudy conditions.

The heterogeneous distribution of precipitation contributes to an increase in the level of fire danger to the criteria of class 4 – high fire danger, in some places there are 1-3 classes of fire danger,” said Mytarev.
