The regional Ministry of Health reported that yesterday, April 25, specialists from the Ulyanovsk disinfection station were destroying ticks in the Vladimir Garden park, where they had already woken up and began to attack walkers.

Previously, the regional disinfection station carried out treatment in the parks “Family”, “Karlinskaya Grove”, “Wind Rose”, near the sanatorium named after E.M. Chuchkalova. The total area of the territory where ticks were eliminated was 30 hectares.

The head of the department of the regional disinfection station, Irina Sarantseva, said that the treatment is carried out with a special long-acting preparation. After spraying it in the evening, dew falls in the morning, the poison descends into the soil and ceases to pose a danger to people and animals. It is not recommended to approach trees or touch plants on the day of treatment. Human contact with the drug may cause an allergic reaction and nausea.
