In the Oktyabrsky district of Irkutsk on April 26, specialists will anneal dry grass

On April 26, dry grass will be annealed in the Oktyabrsky district of Irkutsk. This is done to prevent spontaneous fires. The event is attended by employees of the first fire and rescue squad of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the region and the mayor’s office.

An area of ​​3 hectares in the area of ​​the building on Shiryamova, 35 will be cleared of last year’s grass. Work will begin in the afternoon, the press service of the Irkutsk administration reports.

The activities are completely controlled and are carried out in the absence of strong winds and precipitation. Specialized equipment and fire extinguishers are placed at each site. Annealing is organized away from residential buildings. Only a professional group can eliminate grass in this way. Residents are prohibited from committing such actions – they are subject to administrative and criminal liability.
