The company, which left the passenger transportation market of the capital of the Vladimir region in early March, began fulfilling its obligations to employees immediately after the arrest was lifted from its accounts
The transport company OKTO has partially paid off wage debts to former employees. The carrier, which left the passenger transportation market of the city of Vladimir in early March, paid 3.4 million rubles –
reported on the air of the Guberniya 33 TV channel, senior assistant prosecutor of the Vladimir region Alexey Gorbunov:
“The total amount of debt [по зарплате] amounted to more than 4 million rubles. At the moment it is 600 thousand [рублей]. This situation is under constant monitoring [прокуратуры Владимирской области]. I think that in the near future the debt will be repaid in full.”
A month and a half ago, several former OKTO employees held a picket on Gastello Street demanding payment of their salaries for February and part of March, as well as compensation for dismissal. The picket participants wrote a collective appeal to the prosecutor’s office. In total, according to the supervisory agency, 80 people were left without payments.
“OKTO” could not pay off debts due to the seizure imposed on the company’s accounts as an interim measure against the claim of the Vladimir city administration. The mayor’s office, through the court, demanded that the carrier, in particular, pay fines totaling 1.35 million rubles, which were imposed for violating the contract for servicing bus routes.
Last week, the administration of the regional center sent a written request demanding the removal of interim measures in its claim. Immediately after this, as stated by senior assistant prosecutor of the Vladimir region Alexey Gorbunov, the carrier began to fulfill its obligations to former employees.
