A contractor has been found in Volgograd who will restore the memorial in the village of Guli Koroleva

During an open competition, a contracting organization was identified that will restore the memorial “Mass grave of Soviet soldiers who died during the Battle of Stalingrad” in the village of Guli Korolevoy in the Sovetsky district. The complex of works will be performed by Remspetsstroy LLC. The contract with the contractor will be concluded within the time limits established by law.

The contractor will have to put in order the sculptural image of the warrior and the tombstone with the names of the fallen defenders of the hero city, recreate the memorial wall and perform a number of other works.

Let us remind you that measures aimed at preserving historical heritage and memorable places are being carried out as part of a large-scale program to renovate memorials in the Volgograd region, which started on the eve of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Stalingrad Victory. Since 2022, about 50 memorials have been updated in all districts of Volgograd. The project continues to be implemented.

This year, the following memorials will also be restored: “Mass grave in which militia soldiers of the Barrikady plant who died during the defense of Stalingrad are buried”, “Grave of Komsomol partisan S. Filippov”, “Mass grave of Soviet soldiers and workers”, located on cemetery in the village of Dar Gora, etc.
