Airports of Regions Management Company presented its IT solutions at the Russia exhibition

April 26, 2024, AEX.RU – Airports of Regions Management Company presented its own information products for the industry at the Russia exhibition at VDNKh. The presentation took place as part of the demo day “Industrial Competence Centers in Transport: From Import Substitution to High-Tech Export.” The company talked about the BAGS Search baggage tracing system, the AR Cute airport public access platform and the BAGS ID self-check-in baggage system. All presented systems are the company’s own products. They were developed to replace foreign analogues. The ARCute shared access platform integrates various passenger check-in systems into one workplace. ARCute allows the agent and hardware to work simultaneously with multiple systems, easily switching between them. The list of peripheral devices supported by the platform includes all popular models of boarding pass and baggage tag printers, boarding pass scanners and passport readers. Today, the system has already been installed at 22 airports in the country, including Sheremetyevo International Airport. The system is used at more than 700 check-in counters and more than 300 boarding gates.

This year, the company began testing the BAGS ID self-check-in system. Now passengers who have completed online check-in will be able to independently check in and check in their luggage through a special kiosk. The system automatically weighs luggage and determines its dimensions. If all parameters are within the standards established by the airline, the kiosk issues an electronic tag and a special RFID tag that is placed on the luggage. Next, the baggage that has been checked in this way must be taken to the baggage drop-off counter, from where it will be sent for inspection and then on board the aircraft.

This is not the first development of Airports of Regions Management Company for baggage handling at airports. Previously, the company introduced the “BAGS search” service. Currently, it is used by 70 airlines and airports in 4 countries. The system allows you to create and exchange requests for luggage search, organize its delivery, carry out manual and automatic searches, send notifications and generate reports. The ability to search for luggage by photo and a Russian-language interface have been implemented. The service uses components of its own design, as well as supporting open source software. In the near future the system will be integrated with BAGS ID.

Industrial competence centers for replacing foreign industry digital products and solutions were created on behalf of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin in the summer of 2022. Their main task is to ensure the transition to domestic technical solutions in key sectors of the economy. Airports of Regions Management Company has extensive experience in creating and implementing its own information products. The company’s airports have been successfully operating production resource management systems, automation systems for servicing aircraft, passengers, and others developed by Management Company for many years.
