VSJD employees took part in the donor campaign “Iron Beat of Hearts”

26 April. On the East Siberian Railway, as part of the “Unified Donation Week”, a blood donation campaign “Iron Beat of Hearts” was held. The venue for the event was the Irkutsk State Transport University, reports IrkutskMedia news agency with reference to the press service of the Eastern Railway.
More than 40 employees of VSJD enterprises and structural divisions took part in the event, 11 of them submitted an application to be included in the bone marrow donor register. In total, railway workers donated 20 liters of blood during the campaign.
Let us note that donation is a special type of volunteer activity, to which highway employees pay increased attention, annually participating in the “Unified Donation Week.” Over the past three years, railway workers have replenished the bank of blood and its components in the Irkutsk region and the Republic of Buryatia by almost 100 liters.
