As part of the “Basket of Kindness” campaign, volunteers collected more than 150 kilograms of food in one of Opochka’s chain stores. The regional newspaper “Red Lighthouse” writes about this.
The campaign has been held in Opochka for the third year, mainly in spring and autumn. This project helps provide food to families with children who find themselves in difficult life situations, pensioners and the disabled, as well as shelters for homeless animals.
Pasta, cereals, sugar and sunflower oil will be collected into food packages and distributed to needy families. Cookies, sweets and canned goods will be sent to our soldiers in the North Military District zone. Perishable products that were collected in those days, meat and bread products were delivered to pensioners on the same day,” the newspaper writes.
