Vladimir Putin was told about the removal of children from families in the Tula region
In the Tula region, three children were taken from a family due to poor repairs. Evgenia Shokhina, head of the RSPP Business School and head of the Zhivem charity foundation, told Russian President Vladimir Putin about this on April 25 at the annual congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
“We (the foundation) are working to improve situations where children are removed from their families due to poor repairs. We make repairs and then return the children through the courts, families are restored. For example, in the Tula region three children were removed and transferred to another region to a professional guardian. For 90 thousand rubles, we made repairs and returned the children to their family. At the same time, professional guardians receive from 12 to 30 thousand rubles, depending on the subject,” Shokhina said.
Shokhina proposed revising budget policy in terms of redistributing funds to help families. Vladimir Putin noted that this is a very delicate issue, and everything depends on the specific situation.
“This is a very delicate, sensitive issue, but under no circumstances should lawlessness be allowed in terms of removing children from the family. If freshly squeezed orange juice is not provided for breakfast, then this is not a reason to remove the child from the family. The main thing is not orange juice, but love for the child. But we must look at the essence of what is happening in the family. There are times when it is better to take a child away than to have him live with alcoholics and suffer every day. It’s a subtle thing. Here we need to pursue appropriate policies, build them at the state level,” the president commented.
