500 thousand tons of goods were sent abroad in 2023
Exports of Kurgan region enterprises in 2023 amounted to almost 500 thousand tons with a total value of more than 180 million US dollars. Compared to 2022, the weight indicator increased by 78%, and the cost indicator increased by 9%. The head of the Ural Customs Administration, Alexey Frolov, spoke about this at the “Export Day in Kurgan” forum, reports the UTU public relations department.
The main key partners of Trans-Urals are Kazakhstan, Belarus, China and Uzbekistan. Most often, food products, engineering products, metal structures, and wood are exported.
“I am glad that Kurgan enterprises are able to make high-quality, competitive products that are in demand in foreign markets. Participants in foreign economic activity are increasing the pace of production, the turnover of goods is growing, external relations are strengthening, and new opportunities for constructive interaction are opening up.“, noted Alexey Frolov.
