Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko presented the Luka Krymsky Medal to Samara doctor Sergei Skupchenko for many years of conscientious work and professionalism.

Sergey is an endoscopist at Samara City Clinical Hospital No. 1 named after Pirogov and has been working in the medical field for 17 years.

— My work is mainly related to emergency surgery and helping patients with life-threatening conditions. When you help people, you get moral satisfaction from it, this is especially felt in surgery. Helping people is my life. Family and loved ones understand this, because medicine is a lifestyle,” said Sergei Skupchenko.

In 2022, Sergey Skupchenko, as a volunteer physician as part of a group of surgeons in the Samara region, participated in providing medical care to patients in a front-line hospital, saving the lives and health of people in Donetsk and Dokuchaevsk.
