On April 28, the grand opening of navigation on the Ob and the Sea of Ob will take place at two sites on Mikhailovskaya Embankment. This was reported by the press service of the Novosibirsk city administration.
From 11.00 on the main stage of Mikhailovskaya Embankment there will be musical compositions performed by the municipal brass band. At 12.00, the leaders of the region and the city will deliver welcoming remarks, and a concert program of creative groups will begin.
A traditional parade of ships will take place on the river. At 14.00 a magic boat will be launched with a performance of the puppet theater “Journey on the Waves”. At 15.30 the family program “Spring on the River” starts – Novosibirsk residents will be offered to take a real river wolf course and the ritual of initiation into rivermen. Program participants will be able to communicate with the captain of the river fleet, ask him about his service and adventures, signs and superstitions on the ship.
At 17.00 there will be a festive excursion walk “Six Bridges of Novosibirsk” with guides of the Novosibirsk Museum Evgeny Andropov and Natalya Grudyankina. At 20.00 the last ship departs from the pier with the musical and excursion program “Lights on the River”.
