In Murmansk, on the road near house No. 11/1 near Starostin Street, a Nissan driver hit a teenage cyclist. This was reported to the traffic police in the Murmansk region. The accident happened on the evening of April 25.

It is noted that the young northerner was born in 2011. did not dismount and crossed the roadway on a bicycle.

“As a result of an accident, a minor was treated on an outpatient basis in a medical facility,” explained the region’s traffic police.

They recalled that a cyclist is an equal participant in the road traffic and, in the absence of a specially designated path or lane, must move along the right edge of the roadway in the same direction, and when crossing the roadway at a pedestrian crossing, dismount from the bicycle.

“The movement of cyclists under the age of 14 should be carried out only on sidewalks, pedestrian, bicycle and pedestrian paths, as well as within pedestrian zones,” the department emphasized.
