The Samara region, together with the whole of Russia, will take part in the “Immortal Regiment” campaign in multi-format mode

On April 25, a press conference was held organized by representatives of the regional branch of the All-Russian public civil-patriotic movement “Immortal Regiment”. The press conference was attended by Sergei Andriyanov, chairman of the Samara regional branch of the all-Russian public movement “Volunteers of Victory”, Svetlana Prilepskaya, chairman of the regional branch of the all-Russian public civil-patriotic movement “Immortal Regiment” and Anastasia Sofyina, head of the Samara Youth Union – a territorial public organization ” Russian Youth Union” in the Samara region, head of the executive committee of the regional branch of the “Immortal Regiment of Russia” in the Samara region. In 2024, they offer to honor the memory of their family heroes not only on May 9, but already starting from May 1 – in the period before the celebration of Victory Day. The preservation of historical memory and patriotic work with the younger generation were discussed during an extended meeting of the regional organizing committee “Victory” in the Samara region in March. The Memory Action “Immortal Regiment” was also on the agenda. “Behind our people – truth, truth – behind Russia! Behind us are our great ancestors, soldiers and officers of the “Immortal Regiment”, who invisibly stand shoulder to shoulder with today’s defenders of the Motherland. And we are all multinational Russian people, who cannot be defeated when we are together, when we are united. This is the main meaning of the people’s Victory Day,” said Dmitry Azarov, Governor of the Samara Region.

Svetlana Prilepskaya spoke about the formats of the “Immortal Regiment”: “The Immortal Regiment action this year in the Samara province, as well as throughout the country, will be held in a multi-format mode. There are a lot of formats and everyone can choose what they like. In educational institutions, in assembly and sports halls, or in open spaces, but in compliance with all safety measures, it is proposed to hold thematic lines. On May 6, as part of the lesson “Talking about important things,” a conversation on the topic “Immortal Regiment” will take place in all educational institutions. From May 1 to May 12, it is recommended to hold the “Immortal Regiment” campaign in preschool institutions in the format of matinees for groups of different ages with the participation of parents who can speak and talk about the hero of their family. It is also proposed to organize a thematic exhibition, within which one can talk not only about the heroes of the Second World War and home front workers, but also about the heroes of the Northern Military District, that is, about all those who defended and are defending our homeland.”

A new format for the “Immortal Regiment” campaign this year will be “MEMORY WALL”. In educational organizations, enterprises, secondary and higher educational institutions on the eve of Victory Day, it is proposed to place Memory Walls. The chairman of the regional branch of the All-Russian public civil-patriotic movement “Immortal Regiment” recalled that 2024 was declared by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin as the Year of the Family, and the formats for the “Immortal Regiment” campaign are also focused on participation by the whole family. “Each family can put a portrait of their hero on their clothes. On the website polkrf.ru, using a special designer, you can create a mock-up of a portrait that can be attached to clothes, and then the whole family can go for a walk and thus walk along the city streets with their hero,” said Svetlana Prilepskaya.
Participants in the press conference noted that today it is important not only to remember the heroes of the past, but also to honor the heroes of the present who defend the borders of our homeland in the Northwestern Military District zone. And it is no coincidence that one of the formats this year will be the “Immortal Regiment on the Frontline”: participants in a special military operation will remember their relatives who fought against Nazism during the Great Patriotic War, and will record video congratulations to their parents, children, brothers and sisters who are waiting for them and believing in them into victory.

The head of the Samara Youth Union – the territorial public organization of the Russian Youth Union in the Samara region, the head of the executive committee of the regional branch of the Immortal Regiment of Russia in the Samara region, Anastasia Sofyina, added that this year the formats that were in demand in past years will also be preserved. “For several years now, we have been holding a competition of creative works “In Defense of Peace” with the Samara Youth Union, together with the regional branch of the Immortal Regiment. IMMORTAL REGIMENT ON TRANSPORT (personal, official, public, water, air) From May 1 to May 12, it is recommended to place portraits on various types of transport. By placing photographs of their veterans on personal, public and official vehicles in an appropriately designed frame with the emblem of the Immortal Regiment of Russia, employees and owners of vehicles, going out on personal and official business on the days of the campaign, actually take part in the celebration of Victory Day, honoring their veterans .

MOTOR RACE OF THE IMMORTAL REGIMENT. This is an organized movement of personal cars/motor vehicles, decorated with the flags of Russia, the Immortal Regiment of Russia, the Victory Banner, portraits of Great Patriotic War veterans, home front workers, and members of the Northern Military District along the central streets of cities, creating the effect of the passage of the Immortal Regiment.

BROADCASTING PORTRAITS OF VETERANS. On May 9, Victory Day in Samara, a video sequence with portraits of veterans living in the Volga Federal District will be broadcast on multimedia screens on Glory Square, as well as on digital screens in municipalities of the region and on regional TV channels.

MEMORY WINDOWS. Congratulations to veterans, drawings and photographs of Heroes are placed on the windows in order to thus honor the memory of the Heroes of the Fatherland and create a special atmosphere at home and on the streets of the city.

In order for these photos to be beautifully designed, Victory Volunteers have developed a chat bot, which will be launched on May 1. You can upload a photo to the chatbot and receive a processed format, which is recommended to be installed on your avatar on your social networks. Also, the photo can be taken in the form of a postcard and sent to your friends, relatives, or simply published on your page.” Also, the Chairman of the regional movement “Victory Volunteers” noted that for several years now participants in the movement have been initiating additional formats for holding events within the framework of Victory Day. “In schools and universities of the Samara region, Victory Volunteers will conduct additional lessons telling about the heroic past of our country. Memory is the most valuable thing we have and preserving it is the least we can do on the eve of May 9,” added Sergei Andriyanov.
