In the Kurgan region, 204 complaints about tick bites were registered, including 72 children.

“The victims received emergency prophylaxis with anti-tick immunoglobulin,” commented the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor.

Bites were registered in all municipal districts except Almenevsky, Makushinsky, Kurtamyshsky and Mishkinsky.

At the moment, 11 ticks removed from people have been diagnosed (using the ELISA method). Tick-borne encephalitis virus has not been detected.

28,448 people (50.5% of the planned number) were vaccinated against tick-borne viral encephalitis, including 10,157 children (40% of the number planned for immunization).

Acaricidal treatments have begun – about 500 hectares have been treated. These are the territories of social institutions, including year-round children’s health camps, as well as places of mass visits by citizens.
