The accident occurred on the morning of Friday, April 26.

According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Yaroslavl Region, today at about 7 a.m. in Gavrilov-Yam, a Kia car crashed into a power line support. Paramedics who arrived at the scene pronounced the 54-year-old driver of the car dead.

The press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the man most likely became ill while driving, after which the car left the road and crashed into a pole. An investigation into the accident is underway. Police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
