In the Southern Urals, about 800 kilometers of roads will be repaired in 2024 – this is more than in 2023. Then 736 kilometers were updated. For this volume of work, 24.7 billion rubles were allocated from the federal budget to the region. Which areas will be put in order, Alexey Nechaev, Minister of Road Facilities and Transport of the Chelyabinsk Region, told at a press conference of the Granada Press media holding. — If we compare it with 2019, then 14.4 billion rubles were allocated. Now this figure has increased by more than 10 billion,” says Alexey Nechaev. Of the 24.7 billion rubles, about 12.2 billion were allocated to all regional municipalities for the repair of the road network. This year they received double the subsidy compared to last year. Of the remaining half of the regional center, 6 billion rubles will be spent on road maintenance, the rest – on repairs.

In Chelyabinsk, emphasis has now been placed on connecting main roads and internal driveways. Lists of neighborhoods requiring repairs are currently being compiled. Meanwhile, work has already started on the Brodokalmaksky tract. The road from the airport and the Trinity Highway will also be updated. In addition, new driveways will be built in residential areas in the north-west of the city, including along Komsomolsky Prospekt and the 250th anniversary of Chelyabinsk.

This year the section of the M-5 Asha-Kropachevo-Sharlash highway backup will be completed. Work will continue on the Chebarkul – Misyash – M-5 road, the Chebarkul bypass and other sections.
— We are also closing social blocks. We will repair road surfaces near medical institutions, including near Regional Clinical Hospital No. 3,” the minister specified. The total volume of work amounts to about 1.1 million square meters. Last year, a little less was repaired – 1 million square meters of roads.

At the same time, priority will be given to updating 39 sites under the national project “Safe and high-quality roads” As part of it, 180 kilometers out of 800 planned will be repaired.
