As a result of a joint development by the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a police operative who is suspected of fraud was detained (Part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The man was investigating property crimes.

As reported by the Investigative Committee, on April 24, the suspect received 30 thousand rubles from a resident of Orel, for which he promised to help solve the woman’s problem in her favor. The piquancy of the situation was that by that time the policeman himself had come under investigation and was suspended from work. Therefore, the investigation believes that the money was obtained by the operator fraudulently.

The defendant has already been interrogated and confessed to his crime. The investigation expects the court to take him into custody.

The police reported that the man has not yet been fired and an internal investigation is being carried out against him:

“If the employee’s guilt is confirmed, he will be dismissed from the internal affairs bodies on negative grounds and will be punished in accordance with the procedure established by law,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
