As the weather warmed up, Muscovites were encouraged to switch to bicycles. Bicycle sharing stations are marked with orange pictograms on signs and navigation maps in transport, as well as on the streets of Moscow. This was reported by the press service of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development.
“We recently opened station bicycle rentals. We remind you that Velobike bicycle rental stations are marked on signs and navigation maps in transport, as well as on the streets of Moscow. You can easily find them – they are in the form of orange pictograms, in the color of city bicycles,” the message says.
The exact location of bike sharing stations can be determined using navigation maps. There you can get directions to them. Station bicycles are also indicated in the information block at the bottom of signs at more than 150 metro and MCC stations.
“Thanks to navigation, passengers can always easily find their way and continue their trip using any convenient mode of transport. To make it easier to perceive information on maps and signs, we use intuitive pictograms. For example, for bike sharing stations they are made in a recognizable orange color. We continue to make travel around the city even more comfortable, as ordered by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin,” said Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport Maxim Liksutov.
Citizens were warned that it is necessary to get off their bicycles in under-street crossings. This will make the trip safer. In addition, this way you can better see all the signs on the signs.
