Emergency road repairs, which began after the snow melted, have reached their peak. The municipal asphalt plant is now operating at full capacity. The road workers have a plan to repair 356 thousand square meters on 477 sections of the roadway. And this is not counting the roads where major repairs and reconstruction are being carried out.
Emergency repairs are carried out in two types – local, popularly called patching, and repairs of the roadway in large sections over the entire width. The second type of repair was recently completed on sections of the Krasnoyarsk Highway, Korolev and Mira Avenues. Last night, renovations were completed on Lenin Street. On central streets, 8-10 thousand square meters of new road surface are being laid at once.
Areas for repair are identified both during road inspections and based on requests from citizens. Repairs that require blocking the entire roadway are carried out at night so as not to interfere with traffic.
As reported Deputy Director of the Department of Municipal Economy of the Omsk Administration Askhat Sabitov, to date, repairs have been completed on almost 60 thousand square meters of road surface. Let us remind you that more than 120 million rubles have been allocated from the Omsk budget for emergency repairs in 2024.
And this week, planned work on applying road markings began in Omsk. The markings have already been applied to the roads along Suvorov, Gagarin, Margelov streets and on Cathedral Square.
This year it is planned to mark 139 thousand square meters of road surface. In this case, 76% of the markings will be applied with plastic, the rest with paint. This year, the largest funding has been allocated from the city budget for marking – 128 million rubles.
