The Easter tour of Valery Gergiev and the orchestra of the Mariinsky and Bolshoi Theaters began with a concert in Yaroslavl

“Cultural events such as the concert of the XXIII Moscow Easter Festival make a special contribution to the development of the region, further confirming the status of cultural Yaroslavia,” noted the Minister of Culture of the Yaroslavl Region, Marina Vasilyeva.

The festival will take place from April 25 to May 15 in 23 cities of Russia.

“The joint work of two teams is a unique chance to become even stronger, since today the combined capabilities of both the Bolshoi and Mariinsky theaters are larger and more impressive than individually,” said Valery Gergiev.

The true professionalism and powerful sound of the orchestra, the virtuosity of the conductor did not leave even the most sophisticated listeners indifferent. There were no empty seats in the hall of the Fyodor Volkov Drama Theater, where the concert took place.

– It was a triumphant performance! There is a high level of performance. The maestro’s virtuosity is exceptional. A wave of emotions spread into the hall from the music. As a sign of gratitude, we, the audience, applauded for a long time and enthusiastically shouted “bravo,” the audience shared their impressions.

The concert in Yaroslavl has already become a tradition in the tour schedule of the Moscow Easter Festival.
