In Russia the climate situation is worsening

Climatologist Andrey Kiselev in an interview for Lenta.ru, he stated that in recent years, according to Roshydromet, the number of weather anomalies in our country has doubled.

He noted that on Russian territory there are zones with different climates, so in some parts of the Russian Federation this manifests itself in the form of prolonged downpours, and in others – in the form of drought or hurricane.

The long-term threat, according to the expert, is global warming. The scientist stated the need to prepare for its consequences in advance. He explained that recently heat waves have been recorded in some regions of Russia. A similar phenomenon led to an abnormal heat wave in 2010.

We previously reported that climatologists predicted a hellish summer in 2024.
