In the Chelyabinsk region, a violent passenger was removed from the train. The man was drinking alcohol in the carriage, and when a report was drawn up against him for this, he began to threaten the policeman and attacked him with his fists. A criminal case was opened against the rowdy under the article on the use of violence against a government official.
The violent passenger turned out to be a previously convicted 29-year-old resident of the Orenburg region, the press service of the Central MSUT of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported.
While in the Orenburg-Novy Urengoy train on March 24, the man drank alcohol. When the train was near the Zolotaya Sopka station of the South Ural Railway, the police drew attention to the passenger’s behavior. They began to draw up a report regarding the drunk passenger. At that moment, the man began to threaten the policeman with violence, and then tried to hit him.
As a result, the offender was removed from the train and detained. A criminal case was opened against him under Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of violence against a representative of the authorities)
An act under Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is punishable by a fine in the amount of up to 200 thousand rubles or in the amount of wages or other income of the convicted person for a period of up to 18 months, or by forced labor for a term of up to five years, or by arrest for a term of up to six months, or by deprivation of freedom for up to five years.
