Kurgan high school students became winners of the All-Russian Olympiad in Nizhny Novgorod | 04/26/2024 | Mound

The final stage of the All-Russian Mathematics Olympiad for schoolchildren took place in Nizhny Novgorod. The Kurgan region was represented by tenth-graders from gymnasiums No. 27 and 30 – Stepan Karpov and Kirill Yatchenko.

As it became known from a message in the telegram channel of the Kurgan city administration, this year the traditional championship among schoolchildren was held for the 50th anniversary. Participants took part in the final competitions: 473 schoolchildren from 80 regions of Russia, as well as a team of six schoolchildren from the People’s Republic of China.

It should be noted that the team that represented the Kurgan region included students from the mathematical circle of the Kurgan Center for Additional Mathematical Education. Over the course of two rounds of the Olympiad, young mathematicians competed in solving non-standard problems in algebra, geometry, combinatorics, and probability theory. Our guys showed a decent result and received appropriate awards.

Let us remind you that the All-Russian Mathematics Olympiad for schoolchildren consists of four stages: school, municipal, regional and final. Winners and medalists of the Olympiad receive diplomas, which for four years entitle their holders to enroll in educational programs corresponding to the profile of the Olympiad at prestigious Russian universities without entrance examinations.
