An investigator of the investigative department for the Proletarsky district of the city of Tula of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Tula region opened a criminal case against a 34-year-old foreigner. The man is accused of attempted bribery.

The investigation established that on April 25, 2024, in the Proletarsky district, a foreigner, not wanting his wife to be brought to administrative responsibility for violating the rules of stay on the territory of the Russian Federation, gave a bribe to a police officer in the amount of 27,500 rubles. However, the Interior Ministry employee refused to commit a corruption crime.

A foreign citizen has been charged with attempted bribery of a police officer. Investigative and other procedural actions continue to be carried out aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident, as well as collecting and securing evidence in this criminal case. Investigators from the Investigative Committee will, among other things, check compliance with migration legislation.
