A press conference was held in Samara at which the formats for holding the most popular action “Immortal Regiment” in 2024 were discussed. They offer to honor the memory not only on May 9, but already starting from May 1. This was reported by the regional government.
— There are a lot of formats and everyone can choose what they like. In educational institutions, in assembly and sports halls, or in open spaces, but in compliance with all safety measures, it is proposed to hold thematic lines. On May 6, as part of the lesson “Talking about Important Things,” a conversation will be held in all educational institutions on the topic “Immortal Regiment” From May 1 to May 12, it is recommended to hold a campaign in preschool institutions in the format of matinees for groups of different ages with the participation of parents who can speak and talk about the hero of their family. It is also proposed to organize a thematic exhibition, within which one can talk not only about the heroes of the Second World War and home front workers, but also about the heroes of the Northern Military District, that is, about all those who defended and are defending our homeland,” said Svetlana Prilepskaya, chairman of the regional branch of the All-Russian Public Civil Society -patriotic movement “Immortal Regiment”
A new format this year will be the “Memory Wall” with photographs of heroes. It is proposed to be placed in educational organizations, enterprises, secondary and higher educational institutions. You can make a wall yourself using the official brand book, as well as using structures already available in the institution.
In addition, each family can put a portrait of their hero on their clothes. On the website polkrf.ru you can create a mock-up of a portrait, attach it, for example, to a T-shirt, and go for a walk.
This year, the formats that were in demand in past years will also be retained. One of them is the competition of creative works “Defending the World”.

- IMMORTAL REGIMENT ON TRANSPORT . From May 1 to May 12, it is recommended to place portraits on various types of transport. By placing photographs of their veterans on personal, public and official vehicles in an appropriately designed frame with the emblem of the Immortal Regiment of Russia, employees and owners of vehicles, going out on personal and official business on the days of the campaign, actually take part in the celebration of Victory Day, honoring their veterans .
- ROAD RALLY OF THE IMMORTAL REGIMENT . This is an organized movement of personal cars/motor vehicles, decorated with Russian flags, the Victory Banner, portraits of veterans, home front workers, and members of the Northern Military District along the central streets of cities, creating the effect of the passage of the Immortal Regiment.
- BROADCASTING PORTRAITS OF VETERANS . On Victory Day, a video sequence with portraits of veterans who lived in the Volga Federal District will be broadcast on multimedia screens on Glory Square, as well as on digital screens in municipalities of the region and on regional TV channels.
- MEMORY WINDOWS. Congratulations to veterans, drawings and photographs are placed on the windows in order to honor the memory and create a special atmosphere at home, on the streets of the city.
In addition, in social networks and instant messengers you can replace your avatar with a photo of your relative who fought in the Second World War.
