26 April. A bus and a tram collided on Lenin Street in Irkutsk on the afternoon of April 26. The traffic police squad that arrived at the scene of the incident was convinced that the public transport that was turning from Timiryazev Street to Lenin had suffered material damage. No one was injured as a result of the incident. This was reported by IrkutskMedia news agency with reference to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Irkutsk Region.

After communicating with traffic police inspectors and checking all the documents necessary for transporting citizens, the drivers continued driving, clearing the roadway. Tomorrow they will have to appear at the State Traffic Inspectorate unit and document the accident.

The prosecutor’s office put the results of the inspection under control. If there are grounds, response measures will be taken to ensure safety when transporting passengers on public transport.
