During the period from the beginning of summer until its end, more precisely from May 20 to August 31, the regional authorities of Volgograd introduce special measures in response to elevated temperatures exceeding 32 degrees Celsius
These measures include a ban on the movement of heavy vehicles on key roads in the region during daylight hours, starting from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The relevant departments strongly recommend that trucking companies and truck drivers revise their travel schedules to avoid violating the established time limits. In the decade preceding this innovation, the region has made significant progress in the development of road infrastructure, renewing and improving more than four thousand kilometers of roads, which underscores the importance of compliance with the new rules to maintain the quality of the road surface. The source of this data is the local publication Volgogradskaya Pravda.
Trucks are allowed to cross the bridge over the Volga and pass through Krasnoslobodsk only at night, between 22:00 and 07:00.
