Irresponsible driver convicted in Murmansk region

A resident of Severomorsk was punished for driving while intoxicated. The investigation established that on February 17, a Severomorets resident was driving a SsangYong Kyron after drinking alcohol.

– Taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, the court found the man guilty under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and imposed a punishment of 320 hours of compulsory labor with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to driving vehicles for a period of 2 years 6 months, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Murmansk Region shared.

The vehicle was confiscated into state ownership.
