Transport police officers, together with railway workers and volunteers, held the “Make Way for Trains!” campaign, aimed at preventing injuries on the railway and its infrastructure. There is no need to look far for the reason for such an action – at railway crossings, collisions between vehicles and locomotives occur every now and then: last year alone, the number of accidents at railway crossings in the country increased by 12%, 54 people died, including two locomotive workers .

Russian Railways is thinking about how to improve safety in their area of ​​responsibility, and transport workers do not stop carrying out preventive measures in their area. Thus, in order to form a responsible attitude of local residents towards compliance with the rules of conduct on the railway. employees of the Tver LO Ministry of Internal Affairs for transport, together with representatives of the Tver track distance of the Russian Railways and volunteers from the Tver Polytechnic College, conducted a raid behind the fourth platform of the station. Tver – in the technological passage area.

The place, as always, was chosen specifically: this crossing of the tracks is not for everyone, it is intended only for employees of railway organizations who constantly pass standards and tests of knowledge of safety rules. However, local residents decided that it was more convenient for them and walked here, neglecting safety and risking their own lives. They don’t even look at the warning signs.

During the raid, transport police stopped attempts by “civilians” to rush through the railway. None of those stopped were railway workers; nevertheless, they walked the usual route, straight ahead. During preventive raids, they do without punishment, wanting to reach the conscience of every potential offender. Each of them was explained the reason for the inadmissibility of crossing in this place, and told about the responsibility provided for by law: Part 5 of Article 11.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses is limited to a warning only the first time; for systematic flouting of the established rules, a fine of 500 rubles is provided.

Volunteers handed each person stopped a memo that clearly defined the rules of conduct on the railway; the railway does not forgive neglect – the price for carelessness can be life or health.
