The heating season in the capital of the Vladimir region will end on April 27, the corresponding decree was published on the website of the Vladimir City Hall. Heating in the apartments of Vladimir residents began to be turned on on October 2, 2023.

Vladimir residents were looking forward to the cooling of the batteries against the backdrop of an abnormally warm beginning of April – on average, the temperature was 13 degrees above the usual norm. Because of this, for several weeks now, citizens have been, as they say, “heating the street” at their own expense by opening windows and balconies. And so the city authorities finally saw in the forecasts an average daily temperature of +8°C for at least five days and approved turning off the heating.

Earlier, the mayor’s office told Zebra TV that due to unfavorable forecasts, they plan to turn off the heating only on May holidays – which ones were not specified.

As the mayor of the city of Vladimir, Dmitry Naumov, explained to reporters today, the authorities took into account the forecasts of the hydrometeorological center, which promised significant cooling and precipitation, even snow, in early May:

“We asked the hydrometeorological services for a weather forecast, they answered us that cold weather is expected in early May, but for how long, and to confirm the fact whether there will be [среднесуточная температура +8] They couldn’t do it for more than five days. Therefore, a decision was made and documents were signed to end the heating season. Accounting is done, the heat supply organization is involved. But the hydrometeorological services are almost scaring us with snow at the beginning of next week. But we hope that the forecast will be rewritten, because it is much more difficult to turn on than to turn off.”

The previous heating season 2022-2023 lasted a little more than 7 months – from September 12 (in social facilities) to April 24. And the longest winter in recent years was the winter of 2021-2022: the batteries remained hot for exactly 8 months.

Let us add that in other large municipalities of the Vladimir region, messages about the end of the heating season also began to appear: in the Kolchuginsky district, the heating was on until April 25, in the Vyaznikovsky district – until April 26, in the Gus-Khrustalny district, the shutdown is scheduled for May 3.
