The winners of the “Silver Constellation – 2024” competition were awarded in Kirov

The winners of 19 projects from 15 municipalities of the Kirov region received grants to implement initiatives to improve the quality of life of older people.

The “Silver Constellation” project has been implemented for 6 years in a row on the initiative of State Duma deputy Rakhim Azimov together with the Kirov society “Knowledge”.

Rakhim Azimov congratulated the authors of the projects on their victory. The deputy’s welcoming words note the interested and effective participation of the authors in the lives of older people.

The “Silver Constellation Competition” brings together several areas that are priorities in my work. First of all, this is caring for the older generation. Secondly, the implementation of social projects and support for municipalities in my district. Thirdly, support for active and proactive residents who do not just talk about problems, but are ready to do something themselves to make life around them better. Together with the Znanie society, we conceived the “Silver Constellation” competition, among other things, as a project that gives participants the opportunity to gain experience in writing competitive applications. We have many examples where, starting with our mini-grants, enterprising citizens come up with large federal projects, ideas for which originated within the framework of the Silver Constellation. Congratulations on your victory! People like you, who are ready to make life around them better, deserve full support,” the State Duma deputy addressed the winners.

Natalya Shedko, Chairman of the Board of the Kirov Regional Organization “Knowledge,” emphasized the originality of the projects and the high quality of applications received for this year’s competition.

“Your projects withstood a serious competition and became the best among more than 100 initiatives that were submitted for consideration by the expert council. The city of Kirov, Afanasyevsky district and Yuryansky district are the leaders in the number of applications.
I would like to note that many districts that participate in projects carried out on the initiative of Rakhim Azizboyevich perform more successfully in regional and federal grant programs.”

Svetlana Zaitseva, head of the Oparinsky municipal district, thanked Azimov for the opportunity to resolve many pressing issues thanks to the Silver Constellation project.
“We are becoming winners of the Silver Constellation project for the fourth time,” she said. – Thanks to a grant competition, we repaired monuments to participants in the Great Patriotic War in rural settlements of the district, and put springs in order. Last year we organized and conducted tours of the seven wonders of the Oparinsky district.
This year we decided to start supporting the health of our veterans. The “Energetic Longevity” project is aimed at supporting physical activity in older people.”
