On May 18, the annual Lilac Paradise festival will be held in the Stanovlyansky district in the village of Barsukovo. Traditionally, you will be able to get acquainted with hundreds of species of this beautiful plant on the territory of a specially protected natural area – the Meshchersky nature reserve. It is worth noting that in 2023 the festival took second place at the Russian Event Awards.
More than 5 thousand visitors are expected to come this year. They will get acquainted with such interesting varieties of lilacs as Captain Gastello, Andryusha Gromov, Mrs. Edward Harding. All plants differ in color and smell.
“The festival has become a bright calling card of the Lipetsk region and has gained fame far beyond the region. The project is developing, becoming more interesting and interactive, attracting even more tourists,” says Governor Igor Artamonov.
