Komsomolskaya embankment in Astrakhan is experiencing the third stage of transformation

--

The third stage of reconstruction of Komsomolskaya Embankment, which won the rating vote last year for the federal project “Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment,” has started in Astrakhan. First Deputy Head of the City Nazar Kucheruk held an offsite meeting at the construction site.

The project is very beautiful and interesting. We really hope that you will be able to implement it by the deadline. Therefore, we kindly ask you to get involved in the work as much as possible at the initial stage, so that by the first of September Astrakhan residents will be able to visit the updated public space“, Nazar Kucheruk addressed the contractor.

The contractor promises to create a unique public space made in the same style. On an area of seven thousand square meters, tiles will be laid in the shape of a wave, and rubber coverings and fences of the sites will be made in the form of the seabed and corals. At night, small architectural forms and railings along the embankment will be illuminated in an original way. Unusual designs will also be a decoration, including a steam fountain, which, instead of traditional water jets, sprays tiny droplets of water and creates coolness.

Currently, dismantling work is being carried out at the site, the old coating and small architectural forms are being removed. The “Clear Sky” principle will also be applied – all wires will be removed underground so as not to disturb the aesthetics.

During the off-site meeting, the city public utilities department was instructed to put green spaces in order, including cutting down emergency dry branches. The contractor was also instructed to strengthen security measures and limit access to the construction site for children and their parents.
