The detective officer of the operational detective department, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Samara, senior police lieutenant Ekaterina Bogomazova, together with a representative of the Public Council at the territorial internal affairs agency, held a meeting with employees of one of the medical institutions of the regional capital.
Speaking with medical workers, the senior police lieutenant spoke about the most common fraudulent schemes and how to avoid falling for the tricks of attackers.
Ekaterina Bogomazova gave examples when residents of the province lost their savings and called for caution when posting personal information on their pages, and also warned that under no circumstances should you provide personal information or disclose passwords to your accounts.
” What should you do if you received a call from an unknown number and started talking about finances? Be prepared for the fact that they may be scammers. It’s best to interrupt the conversation. After this, if you have any doubts, call the hotline of your bank, mobile operator or the police department, tell them about the call,” Ekaterina Viktorovna warned listeners.
At the end of the event, the senior police lieutenant answered all the questions of those present and distributed useful reminders, which reflect the algorithm of actions when receiving a call from scammers.
