Motorists were warned about the temporary lifting of restrictions on the federal highway R-23 Pskov on April 26 by the press service of the regional road committee.

“A well-known joke says that a true summer resident knows each of his neighbors, but not always by sight. Due to the beginning of the summer season and barbecue trips, reverse traffic will be removed from all sections of the highway expansion to Pskov from April 28 to May 12. But only for two weeks,” officials emphasized.

Experts have noticed that in connection with the work to expand the above highway to four lanes, the greatest problems with transport accessibility arise in the section from Rozhdestveno to the beginning of the Mshinskaya bypass, where reverse was previously introduced.

“No reverse movement [на этом участке] no way, because the technology needs to work: four lanes are being built here and the bridge over the Glubokoy Brook is being thoroughly renovated. Completion of work [по расширению трассы] scheduled for 2025–2026,” the department recalled.

Earlier, the chief weather forecaster of St. Petersburg, Alexander Kolesov, reported that the first long weekend in St. Petersburg would be favorable for the opening of the summer season. At the same time, at the beginning of next week the air in the city may warm up to +20 degrees.
