Moscow. 26 April. INTERFAX – Specialists of the municipal services complex will begin to turn off the heating in the capital on Saturday, April 27, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Landscaping Pyotr Biryukov.
“In connection with the establishment of the required outdoor temperatures on Saturday, April 27, we will begin a smooth transition of the capital’s heating supply systems to summer operation. In total, heating will have to be turned off in more than 74 thousand buildings, including over 34 thousand residential buildings “, Biryukov told reporters on Friday.
Heating is turned off in stages in the following sequence: residential buildings, schools, preschool and medical institutions, industrial and administrative buildings, the deputy mayor specified.
According to him, in accordance with the instructions of the mayor of Moscow, preparations for the new heating season have already begun, all activities will be completed by August 25.
“One of the important areas is conducting hydraulic tests of heating networks, which will start in full in May. The main task is to identify potentially unreliable areas and promptly restore them in order to ensure high-quality heat supply to consumers during the season,” Biryukov said.
He recalled that during summer preventive work on heat supply systems, pipelines are re-routed using modern technologies, preventative and major repairs of thermal stations and central heating points, maintenance and repairs of intra-house heating and hot water supply systems.
