Moscow. 26 April. INTERFAX – One of the country’s largest yacht harbors will be built in the capital’s South Port, reports the press service of the Moskomarkhitektura.
“The new yacht harbor in the Southern Port will be the largest in terms of the number of berths in Moscow and the region and the second most important in Russia after Sochi,” the message quotes the words of Moscow’s chief architect Sergei Kuznetsov.
The marina’s capacity will be 200 vessels; they also intend to build a pier for 50 boats and the city’s first electric water taxi stop for four boats on the embankment, the department added.
It is planned that the yacht harbor will be surrounded by a transparent sail, floating at a height of 30 m from the ground. Its ground part will be used as a two-kilometer green promenade. The 25 m wide pier will feature sports grounds, outdoor pools on pontoons with clean water and thermal baths, and in the center of the bay there will be an amphitheater and an open area for events. Along the coastal promenade there will be a network of shops, coffee shops and restaurants with terraces.
