By the end of the year, modern sites will be installed in 22 districts of the capital. Among them are Tsaritsyno, Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo, Kapotnya, Nizhny Novgorod, Eastern Izmailovo, Southern and Northern Butovo. The leaders will be the South-Western and South-Eastern districts – six objects in each.

When designing spaces, the wishes of residents and recommendations of experts from the Russian Canine Federation will be taken into account.

The new standard includes many parameters, in particular, aesthetics, comfort, functionality and the use of high-quality and environmentally friendly materials.

Barriers, bridges and other exercise equipment for training pets will be installed at the sites. Benches and canopies will be placed in the recreation area.

The “Pets in Moscow” project has been implemented as part of the Moscow Mayor’s “My District” program since 2021. Today, 59 such spaces have already been created in 46 districts of the capital. Some of them were built from scratch on vacant lots.

In 2023, Active Citizen held a vote on new infrastructure for walking, playing and training dogs. Three quarters of users rated it positively. They chose the options “This is a great idea and implementation” or “I support and am ready to take part in the program.”
