More than a thousand schoolchildren from the Saratov region took part in the numbers lesson from Rosatom

An open lesson on the topic “Journey to the Microverse: Quantum Computing and Medicine of the Future” was held for schoolchildren across the country.

The open lesson was broadcast from the Atom pavilion of the Russia International Exhibition and Forum.

At the Numbers Lesson, the children got acquainted with quantum technologies, calculations and areas of their application in medicine. We also learned about quantum sensors that are implanted into brain cells without damaging it, about new specialties in the field of quantum technologies, including biomedicine and related fields of science, and opportunities for obtaining relevant professions in Russian universities.

More than 1,000 schoolchildren from 13 municipal districts of the Saratov region and Saratov took part in the Lesson.

“The Numbers lessons conducted for schoolchildren are aimed at early career guidance for the younger generation; they provide an opportunity to learn about new professions and career development prospects. As part of the lesson, the children were able to get acquainted with the professions of the future that will appear thanks to the development of quantum technologies and are aimed at studying and discovering new medicines and improving the quality of life of people,” commented First Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the region Anastasia Cherepanova.
