The mayor of Voronezh, Vadim Kstenin, reported to deputies of the City Duma during the annual report on April 24 that the improvement of the areas of schools and kindergartens will continue. The head of the city spoke today about its implementation in 2024 in his Telegram channel.
– Last year the emphasis was on schools. Each of the 72 educational organizations included in the program, in accordance with their needs, paved or paved playgrounds and paths, repaired fencing, built obstacle courses or installed street equipment. A striking example is the Nikitin gymnasium. Here, the asphalting of the territory and the installation of an obstacle course successfully complemented the major repairs carried out under the federal program, noted the head of the city.
At the same time, in some schools, as Vadim Kstenin emphasized, larger-scale landscaping work is needed. Therefore, these objects were re-included in the program. This year, obstacle courses will appear on the territory of these schools for conducting classes in life safety and physical education.
According to the mayor, a list of schools and kindergartens where improvement will take place has already been prepared, the scope of work has been determined, and funding has been planned for each institution.
− Thanks to the support of Governor Alexander Gusev, we are sending a total of 82.5 million rubles to kindergartens, and a little more than 50 million to schools. Almost 90 percent of these funds are allocated from the regional budget, the rest is co-financing from the municipality. “All limits have been reached,” the mayor assured.
Vadim Kstenin instructed not to delay the preparation of documentation and to go to auction in order to complete all the work before the cold weather, and ideally before the start of the new school year.
